12th Jadhaga Parivarthanai Mela

The 12th Jadhaga Parivarthanai Mela conducted by Kuso Marriage Bureau was successfully held on Sunday, the 21th March 2010
at 10.00 a.m. at Kumara Vyasa Mandapam (Opp: to Spandhana Nursing Home), Rajaji Nagar 4th Block, Bangalore - 560 010. We have so far conducted 11 such Melas with good response from the community people who live scattered in Tamilnadu, Karnataka and adjoining states. This time we observe that apart from Tamilnadu, many of the participants were from Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and New Delhi.

After the prayer by Committee Member Sri C.S. Sathyakumar, our Secretary Sri T.S. Jayabalan formally announced the commencement of the session. Smt. Hindumathi Ramamurthi, Smt. Thilagam Jayaraman, Smt. Nagalakshmi Jayaraman Smt Gajalakshmi Narasimhan and
Smt. Sathyavathi Upendran, have lighted the lamp to indicate the commencement of the function. In his opening speech, our President
Sri V.G. Gopalakrishnan had suggested to the parents to avoid too much scrutiny of the horoscopes and urged them not to waste time on this process. It is enough to verify the very very important aspects that are required in matching the couple to arrive at a quicker decision, he added.

Our Vice President Prof. N. Vasu, explained the procedures that are adopted by KUSO to introduce the nowrins / nowrans with their respective parents on the stage. He had also guided them as to how to fill up the applications forms of their wards as well as the procedure to get the required number of horoscopes at the end of the session. He stressed the audience the importance of informing KUSO about their changes of address in time. Moreover, he added that the parents need not hesitate to inform the KUSO, if their wards (nowri / nowro) got married who have registered KUSO.

Sri K.K. Gopinath, Smt. Savithri Sadasivan, Smt. Uma Giridharan and Smt Subhapriya Krishnakumar all of them as a team, worked in the registration counter. KUSO Astrologer Sri P.R. Surendran, was seen sitting under a separate counter for being consulted by the parents.by the parents.

We observe that this time parents and their wards have participated from Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolar, Chinthamani, Madurai, Trichy, Salem, Chennai, Thanjavur, Walajapettai, Palayamkottai, Kumbakonam, Kanchipuram, Paramakudi, Ayyempettai, Dindigul, Ambur-Vellur, Nilakottai, Periyakulam and Coimbatore. Certain candidates were from Soudi Arebia, Singapore, USA and England also, which is to be noted.

Among the parents and their wards (nowrin / nowran), the following VIPs viz., Sri M.V. Mohanram, Member, Thozhirkuzhu, AISMS,
Sri V. Kuppuraj and Sri L.N. Ramamurthy, Joint Secretaries of
Coimbatore Sourashtra Sangam were also available in the auditorium. In the morning session, Vadai and Tea were offered to the visitors so also Bhajji and Tea in the evening.

Sweet with nutricious food was offered as lunch to our honourable visitors. The sponsors, Former President, H.R. Ramu's family and Smt. Gajalakshmi and Sri B.K. Narasimhaiah family from Bangalore, offered the delicious lunch. The menu was prepared by P.V.K. Gopi and his group of Dindigul, Tamilnadu.

About 59 horoscopes were registered in this 12th Mela, comprising 38 nowran and 21 nowrin. We observe certain late marriage, second marriage / divorcees applicants also among them. The 12th Mela was concluded with vote of thanks by Joint Secretary
