Sri SVS Sivanath (Chief Guest of KUSO), mentioned that about 300 graduates from KLN Institutions are working in Bangalore. He said that the Institution had helped NMR Subburaman Memorial women’s college at time of its launch with a initial donation of Rs.10 Lakhs and had also advanced Rs 5 Lakhs to Delhi Saurashtra Association for purchase of land. Like wise the Institution will arrange and extend financial help with a sizeable amount.
Special invitee Sri KB Radhakrishnan appreciated the efforts taken by KUSO for 18 years in serving the community. He said that the he was sure that KUSO can fulfill any task it undertakes. He called upon the members present (and those who were not present) to assist KUSO in its endeavors. On behalf of KLN group of Institutions he promised all financial assistance in construction of building for KUSO once the site is acquired. The Institution will render all help as it has always been doing for Saurashtra community students.
Sri PK Mothilal wished KUSO the very best in its venture to acquire site of its own. He suggested that KUSO must give priority to all Saurashtra students who flock to Bangalore seeking jobs and help them with accommodation during their initial days. He assured that KLN group of Institution will render all assistance in all possible forms (financial and otherwise) in this service.
Special invitee, Sri Narasimhachary offered to help the poor and needy Saurahstra students in their education.
Special invitee, Sri PL Rajendra offered to help KUSO in purchasing a site for itself.
Sri SS. Mohan described the Ariyankavu annual function in commemoration of the wedding of Swami Ayyappan with Saurashtra matha Smt. Pushkaladevi. He invited all members for the golden jubilee celebrations to be held in Aryankavu in December. He also requested all community members to support the Saurashtra Tele-film ‘Ghettivedo’ produced by Sri MP Balan under the guidance of Kalaimamani Sri TM Soundararajan (the trailer of the movie was screened post lunch).
Sri TR Govindan explained how he has committed himself to helping Saurashtra people in getting government loans and that so far 50 Saurashtrans have been benefited by this.
Sri KV Pathy (Advisor to KUSO) requested all members in Karantaka to participate in census and called upon them to register as Saurashtra (Jamkanadhavaru).
Sri VG Giridharan (anchor KUSO Jobs) adviced all members to avail the facility of KUSO jobs yahoo group launched by him.
