18th JADHAGA PARIVARTHANAI MELA

The 18th Jadhaga Parivarthanai Mela of Karnataka United Sourashtra Organaization was held at Kumara Vysa Mantapa situated at 6th Main, Rajaji Nagar 4th Block, Bangalore-10 on Sunday, the 24th March, 2013 at 11.00 am.

Our General Secretary, Sri T.S. Jayabalan formally inaugurated the Mela. Sri V.G. Gopalakrishnan, President, KUSO, presided over the function. In his inaugural address Sri V.G. Goapalakrishnan had explained to the audience the procedures adopted by KUSO for the successful conduct of the Mela. He made an appeal to the parents of boys and girls for whom horoscopes are being registered in the Mela, to settle their alliances quickly without wasting much time and energy in scrutinizing the horoscopes in depth. Much importance should not be given on places of origin of boys/girls and must be ensured that they belong to Sourashtra community only, he emphasized.

With the prayer song by Selvi P.S. Rithika and after the lighting of the lamp by visiting mothers, viz., Smt. Manimozhi, Bombay, Smt. Jayanthimala, Chennai, Smt. Suganya Mohanram, Walajapettai, Smt. Krishnaveni, Madurai and Smt. Nirmala, Bangalore, the routine business of the Mela started. In the Registration Counter, it was seen that Sri K.V. Pathy, Advisor, KUSO, Sri K.R. Kalidoss, Ex-President, KUSO, Voice of KUSO Editor Sri R.N. Sadasivan, Vice_President Sri B.R. Surendran, Treasurer Sri K.K. Devadoss Babu, Deputy Treasurer Sri R.R. Baskar, Joint Secretary Sri B.V. Srinivasan, Committee Members, viz., Sri T.V. Surendran, Sri R.K. Sridhar, Sri R. Krishnakumar, Sri K.K. Gopinath, Sri P.M. Balaji, Sri Saravanan, Sri Sekhar, Sri N.S.R. Santharam, Sri M.V. Mohanram, Sri T.R. Govindan, Smt. Ashvini Gopinath, Smt. Manjula Gopinath, Smt. Yogeshwari Nagaraj, Smt. Subhapriya Krishnakumar and Smt. Priya Ganesan assisting the visiting-parents of boys and girls in filling in the application forms for registration with KUSO Marriage Bureau. Some of them were seen replying on the queries raised by some of the parents and cleared their doubts on the registration process and on subsequent follow up procedures.

In a separate desk, Sri P.R. Surendran, KUSO Astrologer, was seen surrounded by parents to consult on the horoscopes of their children. A majority of the nowran and nowrin for whom horoscopes registered in this 18th mela, were graduates / post graduates, software engineers working in private sectors, public sectors and government departments. Gen. Secretary Sri T.S. Jayabalan and Joint Secretary Sri P.R. Gopinath had announced the details of horoscopes of boys and girls and introduced them simultaneously along with their parents on the stage.

Majority of the parents came for registration were from Bangalore, Mysore, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Tirupati, Baroda, Mumbai, Kollam, Madurai, Dindigul, Trichy, Salem, Chennai, Kottar, Kanchipuram, Neyveli, Tirunelveli, Palayamkottai, Kumbakonam, Tirubuvanam, Pudukottai, Mettur Dam, Rasipuram, Thanjavur, Arni, Walajapet etc. They came from Tamilnadu, Kerala, New Delhi, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat.

The parents and the representatives of the above boys and girls had happily registered the horoscopes with us. It is also observed that the parents of boys and girls who work in Atlanta (America), Singapore, Kolalampur (Malaysia), Abudhabhi have also participated in this Mela.

Morning Refreshments, Lunch and Evening Tea were provided to all our honourable visiting-parents with their boys and girls. Sri P.K. Gopi Ready Made Samaiyal Kuzhu was responsible for the delicious lunch prepared for our visitor parents and their children in this Mela.

The Mela was concluded with the vote of thanks by Sri P.M. Balaji, our Committee Member.
