The 27th Global Sourashtra Jadhaga Parivarthanai Mela

This time the 27th Mela was held Sunday, 04.03.2018 in a different venue at Aaraadhana Hall, Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt (Temple), 1st Floor, Dr. Rajkumar Road, Near Navrang Theatre, 2nd Block Rajajinagar, Bangalore -10 at 10.00 am with the massive support of sourashtra parents and their children. We also encourage second marriages, widow marriages and marriages for physically handicapped through this Mela. Thus, Sourashtra people have a chance to assemble in a place like this for the purpose of the marriage of their children without the support of marriage brokers.

Sri J.K. Vijikumar, Sri Aadhiyandha Prabhu Astrology Research Centre, Madurai, who was available in thie Mela for matching of horoscopes. He gave a brief lecture on the process of matching the horoscopes for marriage purpose.

Sri R.K. Sridharan, Vice President, KUSO, initiated the Mela functions. Smt. Saroja Giridharan, Bangalore, Smt. Puurnima Sasidharan, Madurai, Smt. Santhi Santharaman, Kumbakonam, Smt. Roja Vijayaragavan, Vellaunkuli and Smt. Santhi Rajamoorthy, Chennai had lighted the lamp and thus inaururated the subsequent events.

Sri V.G. Gopalakrishnan, President, KUSO, requested the parents to minimize the scrutiny of horoscopes in order to speed up the matching process and insisted to conduct simple marriages.

Sri T.S. Jayabalan, General Secretary, briefed to the audience the main purpose of the Mela and explained the achievements of KUSO for the benefit of the sourashtra community. Later, Sri T.S. Jayabalan, Gen. Secretary and Sri P.R. Gopinath, Commitee Member, read out the details of horoscopes or Nowrin and Nowran on the stage and introduced the parents with their boys/girls on the stage.

Pattabiraman, Joint Internet Computer Operators Sri T.R. Rajesh Khanna, Smt. Yogeshwari Nagarajan, Committee Members, Sri P.R. Gopinath, Sri M.R. Nagarajan, Sri R. Krishnakumar, Sri B.K.M. Rajkumar, Sri S.K. Varadharajan, Sri P.M. Balaji, Sri P.M. Srinivas, Smt. Saroja Jeyabalan, Smt. Kavitha Saravanan, Smt. Santhi Baskar, Smt. Subhashini Krishnakumar, Smt. Ashvini K.K. Gopinath, Smt. Manjula P.R. Gopinath and Smt. Jeyanthi Sridharan were very active in their duties to assist the visitors in filling the application forms and in lunch distribution processes.

Hosur, Sourashtra Sabha President Sri P.G. Naganath, Secretary Sri Vijayukumar and Sri L.N. Ramamoorthy from Coimbatore were some of the outstation VIPs who were honoured on behalf of KUSO by President Sri V.G. Gopalakrishnan, former President Sri K.V. Pathy and Sri T.A. Pattabiraman.

Astrologer Sri J.K. Vijayakumar was honored with a shawl by Committee Member Sri P.R. Gopinath. The parents discussed with Sri Vijayakumar in connection with the matching of the horoscopes. For the meeting of the parents of both Nowrin and Norwran, arrangements were also made for direct discussion with each other. We highlight the remarkable services rendered by Sri T.S. Jayabalan, General Secretary and Internet Computer Operator Sri V.G. Ravindranath for more than a month in connection with the success of this Mela.

It is also remarkable to state that the parents from South Africa, Gujarat, Secunderabad of Telengana, Pondicherry, Navi Mumbai, Mangalore, Bangalore of Karnataka, Vellamkuli-Nellai, Madurai, Kunda (Ooty), Coimbatore, Trichy, Salem, Tanjore, Pudukottai, Ayyampettai, Hosur, Walajapet, Chennai, Tirupur, Kumbakonam have come to register horoscopes. It is to be noted that the parents of nowrin/nowran who work in Singapore, Australia, Behrain, Kaddar and Saudi Arabia hava also joined in this Mela.

We take the opportunity to thank Sri Sudharsan – Sagar TV, Sri Suresh – Sky TV, Sri Malli Ravi – Krishna TV & Salem Sri N.L. Nagarajan, Ashoka and Shalini TV for having advertised in their respective channels for this Mela. We also thank the office bearers of various Sabhas and social workers who worked for pasting the posters and distributing notices on this Mela. All the visitor parents and their inmates were provided with morning tiffin, lunch and evening tea. The Mela Events were photographed by Sri R.K. Sridharan, Vice President, KUSO.
